This painting was born from a childhood memory: when I was eight years old, I saw a toucan for the first time in an old bird book, and I was convinced it only existed in fairy tales. That childhood misunderstanding became an artistic belief: some wonders seem too beautiful to be real… and yet they exist — until they disappear.
