Around her face, a delicate halo of gold leaf emphasizes her sacred dimension, like a modern icon. She is surrounded by a lush explosion of exotic flowers, vibrant and entirely imagined – a vegetal setting celebrating both feminine beauty and the fragile richness of life.
 
The painting was inspired by a surprising anecdote: one day, while visiting a tropical garden, I was struck by the similarity between certain rare flowers and the traditional adornments worn by women in historic portraits. This parallel inspired a symbolic union between woman and nature, two powerful but threatened forces.
