Bloom Freely
Watercolor the Joyful Way
Learn to lose yourself in colour, to trust the pigments — and find your own way of painting.
In this course, I welcome you as I do in my studio — with gentleness, kindness and lots of color. We don't try to master. We let the watercolor guide us, we experiment, we let go. And often, the most beautiful things arrive by surprise.

MY PHILOSOPHY
Watercolour isn't something you master.
It's something you tame. ✨
Students come from all over the world asking how I work with colour. But what they leave with is often much more than techniques — it's a new way of looking, of daring, and of trusting themselves. This course is my studio — finally available on video, for you, wherever you are in the world. 🌸

Have you ever told yourself…
🌸 "I don't know how to choose my colours." You play it safe and your paintings look flat. You admire vibrant palettes online wondering "but how do they do it?"
🌸 "I always mess up the water control." Too much, too little — the pigments go everywhere. Watercolour feels unpredictable, impossible to control.
🌸 "My style doesn't look like anything." You copy tutorials but something is missing. You sense there's a universe inside you waiting to express itself — but you don't know how to bring it to life.
Good news: all of this is exactly what we'll explore together. Not by trying to control everything — but by learning to trust. The water. The pigments. Yourself. Because the most beautiful watercolours often come from an "I don't know how I did that, but I love it" — and that's the moment I want to create for you.

WHO AM I ?
I am Caroline, and colour is my obsession.
Born in Paris into a family of architects, graduate of the École des Beaux-Arts, textile designer for 16 years and author of 4 sewing books — colour has always been at the centre of everything I do.
When I turned to watercolor, I brought with me what I had learned in textiles: bold colour combinations, almost fluorescent hues, references drawn from Klimt, Petit Pan fabrics, Japanese and Hmong patterns.
But what surprised me most is what teaching taught me about painting itself. When I see a student put down their brushes after 3 hours saying "I didn't see the time pass" — that's when I understand why I do this.
In my studio, we don't just talk about watercolour. We confide. We trust. We create a space where everyone arrives with their life and leaves a little lighter, a little more colourful. 🎨 This course is that space — in your living room, at your own pace.

This course is made for you if…

Complete beginner
You've never tried watercolor or barely have. No worries — we start from zero, together, with gentleness. Everyone is welcome.

Frustrated with your colors
You already paint but your color combinations feel wrong. You want to understand why it doesn't "sing" — and how to change that.

Drawn to bold palettes
Safe watercolors don't feel like you. You're drawn to vibrant palettes, graphic flowers, unexpected combinations that make people say "oh!" when discovering a painting.

Searching for your own style
You copy tutorials but something is missing. You want to build a visual universe that's truly yours — not someone else's.

BY THE END OF THIS COURSE
You will be able to...

You'll dare with colour
You'll compose vibrant, personal palettes that reflect your universe — and you'll wonder why you didn't do it sooner.

You'll paint flowers and foliage
From your first hesitant wash to the full bouquet with gold leaf and Posca — your final project will surprise you, I promise.

You'll find your style
You'll understand where an artistic universe comes from and begin to build yours — from what truly resembles you.

Choosing joy as a path to the possible 🌸

What I hadn't anticipated when becoming a teacher is how much watercolour can touch people well beyond the paper and brushes.
Earlier this year, I had the opportunity to teach in a day psychiatric hospital. The nurse told me, astonished, that students were concentrating for 2 full hours and came to every single class — which almost never happens.
One of them even continued coming to my regular classes after the cycle ended. Simply because she didn't want to stop. 🎨
And then there is this student who came on a day of grief. She painted a quote surrounded by flowers: "Never give up, great things take time." While painting, she began to speak. The group welcomed her.
Watercolour had become a space for resilience — not alone, but together. 🌸
That is exactly the space I want to create for you.

Why are the lessons released gradually?
Because creativity doesn’t bloom overnight.
Most online courses are watched enthusiastically for a few days and then quietly forgotten.
I wanted Bloom Freely to feel different.
When you join Bloom Freely: Foundations, a new lesson will be released every Friday throughout the summer.
This gives you time to practice, experiment and enjoy the process without feeling overwhelmed.
We’ll move forward together, flower by flower, color by color, until your final painting comes to life.

Bonus : Access to the bloom freely
community!

Learning on your own can sometimes feel a little intimidating. You may wonder whether you’re making progress, choosing the right colors, or if the challenges you’re facing are simply part of the process.
That’s why every Bloom Freely student will receive access to the Bloom Freely Garden, our private Facebook community created exclusively for course members.
Inside, you’ll be able to share your paintings, post your exercises, ask questions and connect with fellow watercolor enthusiasts from around the world.
I’ll regularly visit the group to see your work, offer encouragement and share feedback whenever it’s helpful.
More than anything, I hope this space becomes what my in-person workshops have always been: a welcoming community where people feel comfortable sharing their creativity, learning together and celebrating each step of their artistic journey.
Because watercolor becomes even more meaningful when it’s shared. 🌸
